The Tom Orr Scottish Dance Band were our guests for our May Club night held in our usual venue of the Royal Hotel, Portree.  It was an excellent nights entertainment with great music and even some dancing!! The report for the evening can be found in our Reports page along with a couple of photos of visiting and local players. 

The dates have now been confirmed for Isle of Skye Accordion & Fiddle Festival 2008, keep the 22/23/24 May clear.  Keep an eye on our page for all the latest information on guest artists as they are booked!   Its guaranteed to be a great weekend!

General Information about our Club The Club meets on the first Thursday of the month, from October to May in Well Plaid, The Royal Hotel, Bank Street, Portree, Isle of Skye. We have an exciting programme of guest artistes from all over Scotland who come along to entertain us. Part of the evening is given over to our local and visiting players to “give us a tune”. The music starts at 7.30pm with our local and visiting members coming on stage first, followed by the guest artiste.

All levels of player are welcome as well as listeners who just enjoy traditional accordion and fiddle music in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Our audience always enjoy hearing good music. No reasonable offer to play will be turned down. It may surprise you but many of our members have never touched, let alone played an accordion or fiddle. Our Club night is a family affair, we have members from 8 to 80, all are made welcome.
